the live band members

scarbrough
Smoove & Turrell live experience would not be possable without the work of these highly talented bunch of  musicians. But who are they and what makes them all tick ???

Smoove (Steven Moove / The Oracle)

The Producer and general Grandad of the band being the oldest and the wisest. Smoove seems to knows a thing or two about pretty much everything! Like a Sheep herder of the band Smoove is always making sure all band members are well lubed and oiled in order to keep the S&T cogs constantly rotating.
Smoove has an impressive vinyl collection of 20,000 + which provides superb sound installation in the studio. when Smoove isn’t in the studio he can usually be found hanging around  empty concrete buildings imitating various sound effects with his enormous mouth.
Smoove also does a mean Chewbacca impersonation.
Favourite words : “You‘ll Love This!”
John Turrell (J.T)
Lead vocalist of the band who sometimes locks himself away in dark cupboards to seek out inspiration for his deep and meaningful lyrics.
John is officially sponsored by Newcastle Brown Ale and has been granted a lifetime supply of  Brown Ale when ever and where ever he requires it. John recently bought himself a dog and named it Broon to celebrate this fact.
John believes in maintaining a high quality lifestyle and is constantly investing in lavish products such as fine cheese, mature whiskey and vintage cigars.
Favourite words : “Pint?”
Mike Porter (Poo / Spray Tan Porter / Ann Widdecombe)
Keyboard player and general mascot (Muppet) of the band who has the ability to let his hair down in more ways than one with his unique 60‘s basin haircut!
Mike has so much energy on stage we often wonder where an earth he gets his super powers from?
Mike also owns a museum called B.M.V.K -The Boon Museum of Vintage Keyboards which is apparently named after Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets). Unfortunately the Museum has never yet been opened to the public, although it is once rumoured that Guitarist Andy Taylor from Duran Duran was given an exclusive tour!
Mike also has a very impressive collection of worn out Sperry’s.
Favourite words : ”Errrr… I‘m off me Geordie’s me like!” / Divn’t tell Stina!
Tim Mcvicar (Jus Tim Cumberland)
The youngest member in the band at 21 years old Tim is our funky bass player who often gets ladies underwear thrown at him on and off stage!
Tim hails from Penrith in Cumberland and recently single handed managed to reclaimed the title rights of the Cumberland sausage!
Tim also has the power impress all female species with his finger wiggle dance!
Favourite words : ”Yeah…Lets Do That Then”
Oscar Cassidy (Ozzie / The Machine)
Drummer and all round geek fest of all things nerdy including his private collection of computer artifacts , toys , glitchy things, moody girlfriends , Porn and all things Gothic.
Oz grew up on a healthy dose of Heavy Metal and gangster Hip Hop and is now famed as the only teenager to pass his driving test using an online game version of Outrun.
Favourite words : ”Shweet!”
Athol Cassidy (Jesus)
Put simply Ath is the nicest man in the world he is constantly smiling where ever he goes, although we think hes simply secretly laughing at everybody. Ath is without a doubt the most talented  musician in the band and in fact  holds the world record as the quietest guitarist in the solar system.
Ath loves a good pear cider and  lives on a strict diet of Haribo’s and plain pasta.
Favourite words : ”Awesome!”
Dave Wilde (Ginger Affinity / The Bee Keeper / Ginger Rage)
Dave is famous for his phenomenally large ginger fingers that wrap themselves around his saxophone which he likes to  refer to as his “sexy-pole”. Multi-talented Dave seems to have his big ginger fingers everywhere weather hes digging vast holes in the earth, chasing chickens around his country manor or attending to his beloved bee hive.
Dave is currently attempting  to revive his wife Kim Wilde’s music Career !
Favourite words : ”Mmmm…Duck butter! / Shut up man mike!”
